Job summary

UptimeAI in Bengaluru seeks a senior customer-facing expert to lead discovery meetings, deliver platform demos, and run highly technical proof-of-value engagements for existing customers and new sales opportunities.

You will be a subject matter expert in predictive analytics, operations and maintenance, chemical engineering, and asset performance management, translating customer challenges into technical solutions and positioning UptimeAI’s offering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in chemical/process industries or related field.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with predictive analytics tools and AI applications or digital solutions like APM and simulation.
• Ability to build a business case and persuade senior management on value.
• Strong operations and maintenance knowledge in process industries such as oil, gas, or chemicals.
• Familiarity with industrial automation, data sources, and communication methods (SCADA, OPC, historians, DCS).
• Experience with CMMS, RCM, or maintenance in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Desire for a people-facing role spanning technical and sales activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in initial customer discovery meetings.
• Provide platform demos and technical proof-of-value engagements for customers and sales opportunities.
• Act as a subject matter expert for predictive analytics, O&M, chemical engineering, and asset performance management.
• Translate customer challenges into technical solutions and position UptimeAI’s offering.
• Address customer needs through verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Conduct requirements gathering and gap analysis.
• Support solution design, architecture reviews, and requirements discovery/documentation.
• Implement complete solutions combining process-domain knowledge with UptimeAI software knowledge.
• Build, manage, and maintain relationships with customers, peers, and partners.
• Travel 40–60% to engage with customers and prospects in person.
• Participate in marketing campaigns and events.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering or an equivalent discipline is required
• Prior experience with predictive analytics tools and offerings, including artificial intelligence applications or digital solutions such as APM and simulation
• Ability to build a business case and convince upper management on value
• Prior operations and maintenance experience in a process industry such as oil and gas or chemicals is required
• Strong operational knowledge of process-side operations and maintenance, including reactors and process understanding, is required
• General experience with industrial automation and manufacturing, including industrial data sources, systems, and communication methods such as SCADA, OPC, historians, and DCS
• Experience with CMMS systems, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), or maintenance work in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required
• Desire to work in a people-facing role spanning technical and sales activities
