Job summary

Mount Talent Consulting seeks a seasoned Solution Architect to drive architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure cloud-enabled solutions across business domains.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define blueprints, ensure compliance, and mentor teams on architecture patterns, DevSecOps, and modern platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 12–15 years of IT experience with at least 5 years in Solution/Application/Enterprise Architecture roles.

Job description

Purpose

• Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable, secure, resilient, and cloud-enabled technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, architecture teams, project teams, and technology delivery functions to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
• Define solution blueprints, architecture patterns, and technology standards that support application modernization, digital transformation, and cloud adoption initiatives.
• Ensure solutions are architected to meet functional and non-functional requirements including performance, security, availability, maintainability, scalability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but will not be restricted to:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and technology teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and sustainable solution architectures.
• Design end-to-end application, integration, data, and cloud-based solutions that align with enterprise architecture principles and technology roadmaps.
• Develop high-level and detailed solution architecture documents, architecture blueprints, technical specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
• Ensure solution designs comply with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, governance requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Cloud Architects, Security Architects, Infrastructure Teams, and Development Teams to ensure architectural consistency across initiatives.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, security, availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and operational readiness.
• Identify system, infrastructure, data, and application dependencies and proactively mitigate architecture risks and implementation challenges.
• Review application designs and technical solutions to ensure adherence to approved architecture standards and best practices.
• Provide architecture leadership and guidance throughout the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and production support.
• Lead solution design discussions, architecture reviews, and technical workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate existing applications and technology platforms and recommend modernization, optimization, and cloud adoption opportunities.
• Design modern architectures leveraging Microservices, APIs, Event-Driven Architectures, Serverless Computing, Containers, and Cloud-Native Design Principles.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects to define cloud deployment patterns, reference architectures, and cloud adoption approaches for business applications.
• Support IT development projects by providing architecture governance, technical oversight, design approvals, and solution assurance throughout project execution.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, frameworks, and tools to drive innovation and business value.
• Create and maintain architecture artefacts, solution diagrams, design documents, decision logs, and implementation guidelines.
• Mentor development teams and technical leads on architecture patterns, coding standards, integration strategies, and technology best practices.
• Participate in Architecture Review Boards (ARB) and ensure projects align with target-state architecture and strategic technology direction.

Technical requirements

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 12-15 years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, or Enterprise Technology roles.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms, business applications, and integration solutions.
• Strong understanding of Application Architecture, Integration Architecture, Data Architecture, Security Architecture, and Cloud Architecture.
• Extensive experience working in Agile, DevOps, and modern software development environments.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS cloud platforms.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including:

• VPC and Networking Services
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven solutions, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

• Strong understanding of software development technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, or equivalent enterprise platforms.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases and enterprise integration technologies.
• Sound knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation practices.
• Strong understanding of security architecture, identity and access management, encryption, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles.
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF and architecture governance practices will be advantageous.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, or other highly regulated industries will be preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Solution Architect Professional, TOGAF, Azure Architect, Kubernetes, or equivalent certifications will be an added advantage.
