Job summary

Retail Insights is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to drive end-to-end architecture for large-scale retail and digital transformation programs. You will partner with business leaders to translate strategic objectives into robust technical solutions, defining the overall architecture including application, data, cloud, and security layers.

You will lead API-first, microservices, and event-driven strategies, ensuring performance, security, and compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in solution architecture and enterprise system design.
• Proven ability to deliver large-scale enterprise solutions, preferably in Retail, E-commerce, or consumer domains.
• Hands-on with API-led, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native design.
• Strong leadership, communication, and ability to work with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end solution architecture for large-scale, complex retail and digital transformation programs
• Partner with business leaders, product owners, and senior stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and translate them into robust technical solutions
• Define overall system architecture, including application, integration, data, cloud, and security layers
• Design scalable, high-availability, and performance-optimized architectures aligned with enterprise standards
• Lead architecture decisions for omni-channel commerce, customer experience, data platforms, and integrations
• Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and best practices across delivery teams
• Review and approve high-level and low-level designs, ensuring alignment with architectural vision
• Drive API-first, microservices, and event-driven architecture strategies
• Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements including security, performance, resilience, compliance, and scalability
• Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, platforms, and tools based on business needs and future scalability
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, integration, and DevOps teams
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex architectural and delivery challenges
• Collaborate with vendors, partners, and third-party solution providers to design integrated ecosystems
• Support pre-sales and solution discovery, including effort estimation, architecture proposals, and technical presentations
• Guide cloud adoption strategies across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including migration and modernization initiatives
• Ensure architecture supports data analytics, AI/ML, personalization, and automation capabilities
• Participate in governance forums, architecture review boards, and steering committees
• Drive continuous improvement in architecture practices, tooling, and delivery maturity
• Mentor and coach solution architects and senior engineers across teams
• Support production readiness, go-live planning, and post-deployment architecture optimization

Qualifications

• Overall IT experience, with significant experience in solution architecture and enterprise system design
• Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale, complex enterprise solutions, preferably in Retail, E-commerce, or Consumer domains
• Strong expertise in end-to-end architecture, including application, integration, data, and cloud layers
• Hands-on experience with API-led, microservices, and event-driven architectures
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including cloud-native design principles
• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, middleware, and system interoperability
• Experience in defining and enforcing non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, reliability, compliance)
• Ability to evaluate and recommend technology stacks, platforms, and tools aligned with business strategy
• Proven experience working with senior stakeholders, business leaders, and client leadership teams
• Strong leadership, communication, and technical decision-making skills
• Experience supporting pre-sales activities, including solutioning, estimations, and architecture proposals
• Ability to mentor and guide architects, senior engineers, and technical teams
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle architectural escalations
• Experience working in Agile / SAFe / Hybrid delivery models
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills for architecture artifacts
