Job summary

Ram Taranga Solutions is seeking a vigilant civil QA/QC professional to monitor and inspect all civil construction activities at solar project sites.

You will ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements and quality standards, and will review MTCs and test reports while coordinating with PMs, site engineers and QA/QC teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction quality inspection at large projects.
• Knowledge of IS codes, drawings, specifications and ITPs.
• Ability to prepare quality documentation and reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor civil construction activities at solar project sites.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and quality standards.
• Inspect excavation, earthwork, foundations, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, roads, drainage and other civils.
• Monitor mounting structure foundations and related civils for quality.
• Conduct inspections for pile installation, depth, alignment and foundation dimensions.
• Coordinate pile integrity tests, concrete tests, soil tests and other QC tests.
• Verify incoming materials against specifications and MTCs/reports.
• Prepare IRs, checklists, quality reports and test records.
• Develop and implement Inspection & Test Plans for civil activities.
• Identify defects, raise NCRs and ensure corrective actions are closed.
• Review civil drawings for discrepancies before and during execution.
• Ensure proper survey, levels, alignment and coordinates.
• Monitor concrete works: mix design, batching, pouring, curing, testing.
• Coordinate with PMs, Site Engineers, Contractors, Consultants and QA/QC teams.
• Support project handover with complete quality documentation.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect all civil construction activities at solar project sites.
• Ensure construction is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and quality standards.
• Inspect excavation, earthwork, piling, foundations, PCC, RCC, reinforcement, grouting, roads, drainage, fencing and other civil works.
• Monitor the quality of solar module mounting structure foundations and associated civil works.
• Conduct inspections for pile installation, alignment, depth, verticality and foundation dimensions.
• Coordinate and monitor pile integrity tests, pull-out tests, concrete cube tests, soil tests and other required quality tests.
• Verify incoming construction materials and ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Review Material Test Certificates (MTC), laboratory test reports and inspection reports.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IR), checklists, quality reports, test reports and inspection records.
• Prepare and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) for civil activities.
• Identify construction defects and deviations and raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) wherever required.
• Follow up with contractors for corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely closure of NCRs.
• Review civil drawings and identify discrepancies before and during execution.
• Ensure proper survey, levels, alignment, dimensions and coordinates are maintained.
• Monitor concrete works including mix design, batching, pouring, curing and testing.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all quality inspections and tests.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Contractors, Consultants and QA/QC teams.
• Conduct regular site quality inspections and prepare daily/weekly quality reports.
• Support preparation of as-built drawings and final quality dossiers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IS codes, project specifications, safety requirements and client quality standards.
• Participate in client/consultant inspections and address quality-related observations.
• Support project handover by ensuring all quality documentation and punch points are completed.
