We are seeking an experienced Civil Quality Engineer to oversee and ensure the highest quality standards in civil works for our Solar EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in solar project civil construction, including foundations, mounting structures, roads, drainage, and related infrastructure. This role requires extensive travel across project sites in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) for all civil activities at solar project sites.
- Conduct quality inspections, audits, and surveillance of civil works including pile foundations, RCC works, structural steel erection, module mounting structures, and site grading.
- Review and approve method statements, work procedures, and material submittals from contractors and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes (IS codes), and international quality standards.
- Perform root cause analysis for quality deviations and non‑conformances; drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to resolve quality‑related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, inspection reports, and as‑built records.
- Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits; ensure closure of audit findings.
- Monitor material testing at site and third‑party laboratories; verify compliance with approved specifications.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards during all quality activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) from a recognized university.
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within Solar EPC projects.
- Thorough knowledge of IS codes, ASTM standards, and solar‑specific civil construction practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical investigations, pile load testing, concrete mix design, and reinforcement detailing.
- Experience with NDT testing, material sampling, and quality documentation systems.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively across project sites pan‑India.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications such as NDT Level II, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Experience with floating solar projects or large‑scale ground‑mounted solar installations.
- Familiarity with project management tools and ERP systems.
