Job summary

VOIS, Vodafone Intelligent Solutions, seeks a skilled Manual & Automation Telecom Tester in Pune to own end-to-end testing across BSS/OSS for mobile, fixed line, broadband and TV services. The role requires 4–6 years of telecom testing experience with hands-on API testing, SQL validation and defect management using JIRA.

You will work in Agile/Waterfall environments and contribute to large-scale telecom testing initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and QA to ensure test coverage.
• Support testing across multiple channels including CRM platforms and online portals.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement in testing.

About This Role

We are seeking a skilled Manual & Automation Telecom Tester with 4 to 6 years of experience in software testing, preferably within the telecommunications domain. This role focuses on end-to-end testing across Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operational Support Systems (OSS), supporting products and services including mobile, fixed line, broadband and TV. The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in manual testing, API testing, defect management, SQL validation and telecom platforms such as Siebel CRM, Kennan Billing, Webmethods and JIRA. Based in Pune, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale telecom testing initiatives while working within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

What You’ll Do

• Perform end-to-end testing for telecom applications, including CRM, billing and integration platforms
• Analyse business and technical requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Execute functional, regression, integration and system testing activities
• Design, develop and execute API and web service test cases using relevant testing tools
• Validate telecom-specific processes including call flows, billing, provisioning and network configurations
• Manage defects, testing progress and reporting activities through JIRA and related quality tools
• Perform backend validation and data integrity checks using SQL
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts and quality assurance stakeholders to ensure complete test coverage
• Support testing across multiple customer channels including CRM platforms, online portals and mobile applications
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint activities, defect triages and quality review forums
• Contribute to test strategy discussions and continuous improvement initiatives across the testing function
