Job summary

Osource India is seeking a Software Tester to join the QA team in Navi Mumbai. You will handle manual testing, API checks, and performance considerations, while contributing to test planning and release activities.

You will develop Playwright-based automation with JavaScript, execute automated scripts, and maintain tests aligned with evolving product changes. Collaborative, Agile-minded, and committed to quality, you will help drive continuous improvement in testing practices.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and QA processes.
• Experience designing and executing test cases and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with API testing using Postman/Swagger; basic performance testing with JMeter.
• Automation experience with Playwright and JavaScript.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and contributing to test planning.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements and acceptance criteria; design test scenarios and data.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and retesting tests.
• Identify, document, and track defects; verify fixes.
• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, and Product Owners; maintain test docs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement of QA practices.

Job description

Software Tester- Key Responsibilities:-

1. Manual Testing & Quality Assurance

• Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and retesting
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in test planning, execution, defect triage, and release activities.

2. API & Performance Testing

• Perform basic API testing validate request/response data using Postman / Swagger / Bruno
• Create and execute basic performance/load testing scenarios using JMeter.

3. Test Automation (Playwright + JavaScript)

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts in Playwright (JavaScript)
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze execution results.
• Maintain and update automation scripts based on application changes.
• Knowledge of testing framework.

4. Collaboration & Agile Participation

• Collaborate with Developers, BAs, Product Owners, and QA peers to resolve issues.
• Prepare and maintain testing documentation and reports.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives.

5. Continuous Improvement

• Continuously learn and implement better testing and automation practices.
