Job summary

ASA Tek seeks skilled Software Testers to strengthen its quality assurance processes. You will contribute to the entire testing lifecycle across Web, Mobile, API and database testing, ensuring robust product quality in a fast-paced environment.

You will design comprehensive test cases, maintain test data, log defects with detailed repro steps, and collaborate closely with developers to prevent regressions and improve release quality.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of testing fundamentals and SDLC/STLC.
• Experience with Web, Mobile, API and Database testing.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in fundamentals of testing
• In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Solid understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes.
• Perform various types of testing, including Functional, Regression, Smoke, Usability, Cross-Browser, Security and Performance Testing.
• Basic understanding of API Testing

• Develop a deep understanding of application features and functionalities.
• Design comprehensive and intelligent test cases, ensuring maximum test coverage and completeness, applying various test design techniques
• Define, collect, set up and maintain effective test data.

• Execute test cases, meticulously record results and ensure all failures are appropriately logged, tracked and progressed through the bug lifecycle.
• Uncover and accurately log bugs with detailed information to aid root cause analysis
• Diligently verify defect fixes and perform regression testing to prevent reoccurrences.
• Assess and prioritize bug severity and priority for efficient resolution.

• Collaboration & Communication
• Collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders to ensure product quality
• Communicate testing progress, defect reports and other relevant information clearly, concisely and professionally.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Decent verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at different levels
• Demonstrate a sense of ownership and accountability for responsibilities with a can-do attitude.

• Experience with Tools such as Azure DevOps, Playwright, JMeter, Locust is desirable.
• Experience in Web, Mobile, API and Database Testing is preferred.
• Familiarity with Security Testing and Performance Testing is an added advantage.
• Experience working with multi-cultural and geographically dispersed teams is beneficial.
• ISTQB Certification - ISTQB Foundation or equivalent certification is a plus.
