Job summary

Applied Information Inc (India) is hiring a Software Test Engineer (QA) for our Mohali office to ensure quality across web, desktop and mobile applications.

You will design test plans from requirements, create and run test scripts, perform manual and automation testing (Selenium/Playwright), API testing, and SQL checks, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ship reliable software.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software testing.
• Analyze requirements to create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Design, develop, and execute test scripts for functional, regression, integration and system testing.
• Perform manual testing of web, desktop, and mobile applications.
• Execute automation testing using frameworks like Selenium or Playwright.
• Conduct API testing using Postman, SoapUI or similar tools.
• Perform database testing by writing and validating SQL queries.
• Carry out performance, load, and stress testing with JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of AI-powered testing tools.
• Maintain and update test documentation (test cases, bug reports, test results).
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, reviews, retrospectives).
• Ensure software products meet quality standards, usability, and customer expectations.
• Support release management by validating builds before deployment.
• Continuously improve testing processes and recommend best practices.
