Job summary

Qatar Airways is seeking an experienced Software Test Engineer with 7+ years of automation testing expertise across web, mobile, and API applications. You will design and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, and Appium, and align testing strategies with SDLC/STLC in an Agile environment.

Candidates should be proficient in Java, .NET, or Python and able to integrate tests with CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software web application testing or automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Appium across Java, .NET, or Python.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Ability to build an automation framework from scratch and maintain automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API apps.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for Test Management and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Build and enhance reusable automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD-integrated automated test suites.
• Execute API testing and validate request/response data.
• Validate API responses using tools like Postman/Swagger.

Key Responsibilities

• 7+ years of experience in Software web application testing or automation testing using Selenium, Playwright, Appium using any of the programming languages Java, .Net, Python.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify test automation opportunities.
• Ability to build an automation framework from scratch.
• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Build and enhance reusable automation frameworks to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD-integrated automated test suites.
• Execute API testing using automation tools and validate request/response data.
• Validate API responses using tools such as Postman, Swagger, etc.
• Experience working in Database and validate data using queries.
• Perform web application testing across multiple browsers and platforms.
• Perform mobile testing using BrowserStack.
• Conduct mobile application testing on Android and iOS devices using automation tools.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, usability, compatibility and UAT testing.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in working with Azure DevOps for Test Management.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives, and Backlog Grooming.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide recommendations for quality improvements.
• Support production deployments and perform post-release validation.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with AI tools to utilize in automation.
