Job summary

Wave Infotech Solutions India Pvt Ltd is seeking a QA Engineer to understand product requirements and customer workflows, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality across new features and integrations.

You will develop and execute both manual and automated test cases, contribute to regression testing, and work with developers to validate SQL queries and data extraction logic, ensuring data accuracy and consistency with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Software QA/Software Testing, preferably with exposure to data-driven applications or internal business applications.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in both Manual Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to test moderately complex workflows and business scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to software quality and data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining established quality standards.
• Familiarity with SQL, database testing, scripting, and Virtual Machines (VMs).
• Experience working with healthcare software/applications is preferred.
• Knowledge of HCC (Hierarchical Condition Categories) coding is preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in ETL testing is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to successfully complete a post-offer company drug screening and background investigation, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and requirement reviews to understand application functionality, business workflows, and testing requirements.
• Develop and execute functional and manual test cases based on product requirements, design specifications, and customer workflows.
• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts to improve test coverage and regression efficiency.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing as required.
• Identify, troubleshoot, document, and report software defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
• Participate in regression testing to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionality.
• Provide front-line testing and support for beta customers, including investigation of reported issues.
• Troubleshoot beta customer issues, reproduce problems where possible, and coordinate with Engineering for resolution.
• Maintain and manage the internal and beta testing issue list, ensuring issues are properly documented, prioritized, and tracked through resolution.
• Escalate critical or blocking issues to the appropriate team members in a timely manner.
• Review user documentation, release documentation, and product workflows and provide feedback to improve accuracy and usability.
• Collaborate and coordinate effectively with QA, Engineering, Product, Support, and other cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, automation, and overall software quality.

This role involves developing a strong understanding of the product, business requirements, and customer workflows to ensure new and existing features meet quality standards. The QA Engineer will collaborate with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to understand new functionality, identify potential risks, and design effective testing strategies.

The QA Engineer will develop and execute both manual and automated test cases to validate new product features, enhancements, integrations, and workflows. The role will also contribute to regression testing, defect identification and resolution, and the creation and maintenance of test documentation and General Availability (GA) release documentation.

Additionally, the QA Engineer will work closely with developers to validate SQL queries and data extraction logic, ensuring that data is accurate, complete, and consistent with business requirements.
