Job summary

Aziro is seeking a QA engineer to design and run robust manual and automated tests across backend services, APIs and UIs. You will diagnose defects, document issues, and collaborate with product, dev and DevOps to ensure quality releases.

You will develop test automation, analyze logs and performance, and contribute to QA process improvements while supporting internal and external stakeholders. Experience with SQL Server and cloud environments is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in software quality assurance, testing, or technical support roles within a software development environment.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman), test automation frameworks, and debugging techniques.
• Understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with backend systems, databases (e.g., SQL Server), and modern web applications.
• Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and clearly communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to testing and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure or GCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans to validate application functionality, performance, and reliability across backend services, APIs, and user interfaces.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring clear reproduction steps and collaboration with engineering teams to drive timely resolution.
• Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing to ensure product stability across releases.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria and test coverage.
• Monitor production systems, investigate issues, and provide timely support for incidents, including root cause analysis and resolution validation.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage of testing processes.
• Analyze system logs, API responses, and database queries to troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and tools to enhance product quality and team productivity.
• Assist with customer support inquiries by diagnosing issues, reproducing defects, and communicating solutions or workarounds effectively.
• Document test cases, testing processes, and known issues for internal and external stakeholders.
