Software Test Engineer

Job Summary: We seek an experienced software test engineer to join our test team at Joyson Safety Systems who can perform various testing activities, including software input analysis, developing software test plans, and executing software testing to ensure that developers create user-friendly, error-free, and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities

• Validate safety-critical software components and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Perform SIL testing using tools like VectorCAST and Tessy.
• Understand Static Code Analysis (SCA) concept and ensure software quality and robustness.
• Align with software engineering team on various software aspects, including reporting bugs and recommendations to SW development team.
• Contribute to communicate the results of software testing efforts to stakeholders and suggest areas of improvement.
• Perform root cause analysis on defects found to identify and mitigate project risks.
• Work with AUTOSAR/Non-Autosaur-based software components, ensuring proper integration and testing of Basic Software (BSW) and Application Software (ASW).

Requirements

• Knowledge of software testing methodology, including software models, software testing methods, and various software test levels.
• Knowledge of automotive industry concepts, such as functional safety (ISO 26262) and ASPICE, industry standards, MISRA rules, AUTOSAR, and software test best practices.
• Ability to use test management tools, including JIRA, and requirement tools like DOORS and Enterprise Architect.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IMS tools (i.e., SVN).
• Understanding of various programming languages, including embedded C and C++.
• ISQTB or similar certification is preferred.

Work Arrangements

• Full-time position with occasional flexibility to attend meetings with the development team, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Work environment is usually quiet with moderate noise.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds required.
• Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor?s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years? experience in automotive electronics SW level testing and/or software quality assurance specialist.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IMS tools (i.e., SVN).
• Understanding of various programming languages, including embedded C and C++.
