Responsibilities

• Own and drive the end-to-end architecture for all platform modules, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools aligned with product and business objectives.
• Define and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and AI/ML teams to make critical design decisions.
• Conduct regular architecture reviews to ensure solutions are robust and scalable.
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies early in development.
• Create and maintain ADRs and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Work with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to design and optimize cloud architecture and deployment strategies.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect with 10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years as a Solution Architect, to lead the design and governance of the overall technical architecture of our platform. You will act as the technical authority, driving architecture decisions, ensuring system scalability, performance, and security, while aligning technology solutions with business goals. You will work closely with engineering teams to establish best practices, define technical standards, and ensure successful implementation of robust, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Own and drive the end-to-end architecture for all platform modules, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
2. Evaluate, select, and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools aligned with product and business objectives.
3. Define and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices across teams.
4. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and AI/ML teams to make critical design and technology decisions.
5. Conduct regular architecture reviews to ensure solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with long-term strategic goals.
6. Proactively identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies early in the development lifecycle.
7. Create and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and comprehensive technical documentation.
8. Work with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to design and optimize cloud architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.

Key Technical Competencies

1. Cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure); microservices, event-driven, and distributed system design.
2. Backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Java); API design, data modeling, security, and integration patterns.
3. Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with AI/ML system integration and platform engineering.
4. Expertise in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).
5. Strong knowledge of data modelling, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.
6. Experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and big data technologies is a plus.
7. Understanding of data security, governance, and backup/recovery strategies.
