Job summary

Aspen Technology is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to design, implement, and scale test automation across enterprise applications. This hands‑on role requires strong technical skills and close collaboration with development and DevOps teams.

You will build reusable automation frameworks for API, backend, and system‑level testing, integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, and drive quality gates and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in software testing, automation, or quality engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of APIs, distributed systems.
• Experience in Agile development environments.

The Role

We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer to design, implement, and scale test automation and quality engineering practices across enterprise applications. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong technical skills and collaboration across development and DevOps teams.

Your Impact

Test Automation Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for API, backend, and system‑level testing.


• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines with quality gates and reporting.


• Develop reusable test data frameworks for efficient test execution.

• Ensure high‑quality releases through continuous validation and feedback.

Performance & Reliability (Exposure Level)

• Support performance and load testing activities using standard tools.


• Assist in identifying bottlenecks and validating system behavior.


• Work with teams to improve reliability and scalability.

Collaboration & Agile Execution

• Work within Agile/SAFe teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.


• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers.


• Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release activities.

What Youll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.


• 3–6 years of experience in software testing, automation, or quality engineering.


• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
