Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a QA Automation Engineer in Bengaluru to design, implement, and maintain automated and manual test strategies across API, UI and database layers. You will collaborate with analysts, developers, and product owners to ensure comprehensive quality coverage and robust release readiness.

The role requires hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, PyTest, Playwright) and solid SQL skills, with a strong emphasis on test documentation, reporting, and metrics to drive

Qualifications

• 4+ years of QA experience and ability to work independently within an Agile environment.
• Experience validating REST APIs and backend data using SQL queries.
• Strong understanding of test design, reviews, and reporting to ensure quality coverage.

Role: QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, API, UI, and Database testing.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Selenium Python /Selenium Java / Playwright.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries and database testing techniques.
• Execute API testing and validation using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Review requirements, test cases, and test artifacts to ensure quality coverage.
• Participate in defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution verification.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams.
• Create and maintain test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics.
• Contribute to automation framework enhancements and migration initiatives.
