Job summary

Nestdigital in India is establishing a Center of Excellence to work with a leading US fintech partner on fast-growing accounting products. The role focuses on migrating customers from legacy systems to the new product, validating data, and going live with accurate opening balances.

You will work with US customers in a customer-facing capacity, training end users and potentially pursuing CPA pathways. Experience with GAAP, US accounting practices, and cloud accounting platforms is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting software/ERP.
• Strong accounting fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience in data migration to a new accounting or ERP system.
• Hands-on experience in financial year-end closing.
• Good analytical and communication skills, including with US customers and non-accountants.

Responsibilities

• Understand each customer's business and tailor the accounting setup.
• Lead migrations from legacy systems to the new product from scoping to go-live.
• Coordinate with technical teams on data requirements and verify data before load.
• Ensure opening balances are accurate and signed off by the customer.
• Guide and review team members, coordinate across teams, and build migration knowledge base.
• Train end users and support customers after go-live.
• Handle hands-on accounting work including month-end and year-end close.

Role Overview

We are setting up a Center of Excellence in India to work with a leading US fintech company on one of its fast-growing accounting products. The team will help the company's customers move from legacy accounting software, the company's own or third-party, to the latest product, and support them after go-live.

Who Should Apply

Open to CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA and other finance professionals who want a customer-facing role built around a real product.

You will get product training, work with US customers and US accounting practices, and the company will support you if you want to pursue your CPA.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand each customer's business and turn it into the right accounting set-up.
• Lead the accounting side of migrations from legacy systems to the new product, from scoping to go-live.
• Work with technical teams on data requirements and check the data before it is loaded.
• Make sure opening balances are accurate and signed off by the customer.
• Guide and review team members, coordinate across teams, and build the team's migration knowledge base.
• Train end users and support customers after go-live.
• Handle hands-on accounting work as needed, including month-end and year-end close.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting software/ERP.

• Clear documentation, attention to detail, and ability to train end users.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to US accounting practices, GAAP, taxation, or payroll.
• Experience with cloud accounting/ERP platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or Xero.
• Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, or SQL.
• CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is a plus.

Success Profile

An accountant who is comfortable with technology and customers, and can take a client from a legacy system to a verified, working new one.
