Job summary

Aptiv in Bengaluru is looking for a software engineering professional to join the ADAS SW team, driving feature definition, delivery, and customer communications for the assigned program.

You will own backlog refinement, coordinate with architects and release management, ensure quality, and collaborate with global teams to align milestones and validation. The role suits problem solvers with lifecycle understanding and ability to communicate with technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Computer Science or related field.
• Experience working with external clients is desirable.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Understanding of software production lifecycle and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Own software feature definition, prioritization, acceptance, and delivery within the software scope.
• Refine and prioritize the backlog to align with program objectives and timelines.
• Collaborate with architects and release management to define requirements and releases.
• Ensure quality and adherence to definitions of done and testing.
• Coordinate across platform and program teams to resolve dependencies and deliver milestones.
• Contribute to program reviews and customer-facing discussions.

We are at the forefront of innovation, developing cutting-edge solutions for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features for vehicles enabling safer driving experience for all. Your role

• Responsible for the software engineering customer communication for the assigned program and accountable for feature definition, prioritization, acceptance, and delivery within the software scope
• Work with stakeholders, customers, others to understand needs, split Capabilities to define and prioritize Features.
• Own backlog refinement and prioritization to ensure alignment with program objectives and delivery timelines
• Approve (on single authority) features as done at the customer project/program review and is accountable for feature acceptance and readiness for release (Definition of Done, validation, acceptance tests). This includes validation that the Feature meets acceptance criteria according to the Definition of Done and has the appropriate, persistent acceptance tests.
• Accountable for feature delivery within the program, including alignment with milestone commitments and rollout plans (FROP)
• Ensure resolution of software dependencies and alignment with system and integration activities across teams
• Collaborate with Platform and Program Architects to define both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Work with release management to define customer releases and solution increments.
• Work with Platform Architects/Engineering and Program Architects to understand and prioritize architectural work on a platform level.
• Assess metrics, including evaluation of business value achieved versus plan.
• Participate in the Pre-and Post-Program Increment (PI) Planning to define the inputs, milestones, and high-level objectives.
• Demonstrate contributions at the Program review.
• Work with Suppliers, making sure the requirements for supplier-delivered features are understood and assisting with the conceptual integration of these concerns.
• Accountable for quality of software feature deliverables (e.g. compliance with coding, verification and validation standards)Aligns with platform/component owners on PI customer objectives
• Contributes to customer issue resolution, including triage and closure of software-related defects across lifecycle

Your Background

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Computer Science,

• Experience on similar position with big exposure to external clients.
