Job summary

Molex’s Copper Solutions Business Unit is seeking a Software Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of long-duration software projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, define requirements, and manage schedules and resources to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires strong Agile and Waterfall knowledge, excellent communication, risk mitigation, and a drive for continuous improvement within a global software solutions context.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of project management experience in software development.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any stream).
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
• Skilled at risk identification and mitigation.
• Proficient with project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex long duration software development projects.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to define requirements and project scope.
• Develop and manage project schedules and resource allocation.
• Facilitating daily standup calls, monitoring progress of projects.
• Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
• Communicate progress & challenges to stakeholders.
• Drive project discussions.
• Maximizing project efficiency and profitability.
• Develop scope and parameters for project implementation in both Agile & Waterfall models.
• Identify project responsibilities, delegate phases and elements to the appropriate personnel.
• Consult with supervisor and adjust priority according to needs as they arise.
• Track project performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
• Document and report project progress to supervisor.
• Assist in developing and controlling the full project-plan lifecycle.
• Inform supervisors promptly of any schedule changes and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
• Oversee scheduling, and project boards - JIRA, and report regularly to supervisor on progress as well as on problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

As a Software Project Manager in Molex’s Copper Solutions Business Unit, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project management toolset, monitoring progress of long duration projects, providing detailed updates to the management team. Leveraging your knowledge in software toolkit, you will contribute to various key areas in software project management.
