Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Bengaluru seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, test and troubleshoot software for wafer fabrication equipment, collaborating with hardware teams across the centralized software engineering group.

You will gather requirements, fix defects, analyze software-hardware communication, and participate in technical reviews, using Smalltalk and C/C++/Python across SDLC in Agile/Waterfall environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer or Electronics Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or Master’s with no prior experience.
• Exposure to hardware specifications and converting to software requirements.
• Interest in semiconductor wafer-fab equipment software with Smalltalk.
• Experience with Agile, Kanban, or waterfall software development life cycles.

Responsibilities

• Gather, design, develop and test software for a wafer fabrication chamber with multi-device interactions.
• Fix defects and maintain the software install base by debugging customer issues.
• Analyze and troubleshoot software-hardware communications, including EtherCAT and serial/Ethernet links.
• Participate in technical reviews and collaborate with hardware teams.
