Job summary

Allstate is seeking an experienced Lead Consultant – Guidewire Integrations to drive design, development and deployment of integration solutions across the Guidewire InsuranceSuite platform. You will provide technical leadership, mentor teams, collaborate with stakeholders and ensure scalable, secure integrations in a Cloud environment.

The role requires 8+ years in software development, 5+ years with Guidewire and strong API, messaging and DevOps experience.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Consultant – Guidewire Integrations to lead the design, development, and implementation of integration solutions across the Guidewire InsuranceSuite platform. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, collaborate with business stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-quality integration solutions in a Guidewire Cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Guidewire integration solutions across PolicyCenter.
• Drive technical architecture and integration strategy for enterprise systems.
• Design and develop integrations using Guidewire APIs, messaging, event-driven architectures, and third-party services.
• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and product owners to define integration requirements and technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentoring to development team members.
• Ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices, coding standards, and cloud implementation guidelines.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root cause analysis activities.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, release management, and deployment activities.
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to long-term platform strategy.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver integration initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience with at least 5+ years working on Guidewire implementations.
• Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite integrations.
• Extensive experience with: Guidewire CloudREST APIsSOAP Web ServicesEvent MessagingIntegration GatewayJSON/XMLOAuth/OpenID Connect
• Strong proficiency in Java, Gosu, and integration design patterns.
• Experience integrating Guidewire with enterprise applications, payment providers, document management systems, identity providers, and external partner systems.
• Experience with cloud-native development and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of security, authentication, and authorization frameworks.
• Experience leading development teams and technical delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required Certification

• Guidewire Certified Associate – InsuranceSuite Developer (or current Guidewire Associate Certification relevant to the candidate's track). This certification validates platform-level Guidewire knowledge and is required for Guidewire Cloud projects.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Certifications

• Guidewire Certified Specialist – Integration.
• Guidewire Certified Professional – InsuranceSuite Cloud Integration Developer.
• Guidewire Certified Ace – InsuranceSuite Cloud Integration Developer.
• Guidewire Cloud certifications related to current Guidewire Cloud releases.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP Cloud Certifications.
• MuleSoft, Kafka, or API Management certifications.

Preferred Experience

• P&C Insurance industry experience.
• Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter integrations.
• Experience with event streaming platforms such as Kafka.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and production support processes.
