India Systems Development Lab (ISDL) is part of IBM Systems worldwide technology development labs. Established in 1996 and headquartered in Bengaluru, the lab delivers technology innovation across IBM Systems including z Systems, Power Systems, and ASIC technologies. ISDL teams contribute to advancements across the systems stack and have generated more than 400 patents in emerging technologies.

The systems development team works across multiple layers such as processor design, firmware, operating systems, and software defined storage. Engineers focus on enabling capabilities like AI performance and hybrid cloud security while optimizing them across the full technology stack.

The Enterprise Systems Design team is looking for computer science and engineering graduates or master's students who can combine architecture knowledge with programming skills to build infrastructure that supports hybrid cloud and AI workloads.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Perform functional verification and validation of processors or ASICs.
• Work with processor architecture concepts including processor core design specifications, instruction set architecture, and logic verification.
• Understand multi-processor cache coherency and memory subsystem behavior.
• Work with IO subsystem technologies and protocols such as PCIe, CXL, DDR, Flash, and Ethernet.
• Develop and maintain code using C or C++ in Unix or Linux environments.
• Create scripts using Perl, Python, or Shell for development and verification workflows.
• Work in Linux or Unix development environments with Git repositories and basic CI or DevOps workflows.
• Understand hardware description languages such as Verilog or VHDL and contribute to verification coverage closure.
