Job summary

HARMAN Automotive invites you to join our Automotive Software Engineering team as an Infotainment Test Engineer. You will validate next‑generation infotainment systems, design automated test frameworks with Python, and ensure high‑quality software delivery across media, connectivity, navigation, and HMI features.

You will work closely with development teams in an Agile setup, execute tests on hardware and simulators, create test plans, report defects, and generate quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Automotive Infotainment Testing.
• Strong Python programming and scripting experience.
• Understanding of test automation frameworks and methodologies.
• Hands-on experience validating infotainment features (Media, Connectivity, Navigation, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Voice, HMI).
• Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Knowledge of Linux and Android-based infotainment platforms.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, Azure DevOps).
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Infotainment Test Engineer with strong Python programming skills to join our Automotive Software Engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for validating next-generation automotive infotainment systems, designing automated test frameworks, executing functional and integration testing, and ensuring high-quality software delivery for automotive products.

What You Need to Be Successful

• Hands‑on experience in validating infotainment features such as Media, Connectivity, Navigation, Bluetooth, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Voice, and HMI.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with Robot Framework, PyTest, or other Python‑based automation frameworks.
• Exposure to Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) processes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
• Experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, or Vector tools.
• Understanding of embedded systems and automotive software architecture.
• Exposure to cloud‑connected vehicle services and OTA testing.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and automotive cybersecurity concepts.

What Makes You Eligible

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Automotive Infotainment Testing.
• Proven experience in Python‑based test automation.
• Strong understanding of automotive software quality processes and testing lifecycle.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional and global engineering environment.
