Job summary

Electrolux is hiring a Software Engineer In Test to drive end-to-end test automation across major initiatives like CRM and e-commerce. You will develop robust frameworks, write reusable scripts, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

You will work in a fast-paced, scalable agile environment, collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and maintain test data across environments.

Qualifications

All about the role:

As aSoftware Engineer In Test, you will take part in end-to-endtest automationactivities for major initiatives across multiple regions, such asCRM, Contact Center,AI, and Service Operations rollouts. You will be responsible for supporting withtest automationsolutions, from development through to technical go-live. Your role will involve interacting with senior leaders and stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams, and driving timely, high-qualitytest automation.

About the CDI Experience Organization:

The Consumer Direct Interaction Experience Organization is a Digital Product Organization responsible for delivering tech solutions to our end-users and consumers across both pre-purchase and post-purchase journeys. We are organized in 15+ digital product areas, providing solutions ranging from Contact Center, E-commerce, Marketing, and Identity toAI. You will play a key role in ensuring the right sizing, right skillset, and core competency across these product areas.

What you’ll do:

• Framework Development: Contribute to, maintain and enhance thetest automation frameworkby adding new capabilities and improving maintainability. Ensure the framework supports scalability, modularity, and cross-platform compatibility. Be ready to jump into unknown areas and quickly implement the most suitable solutions.

• Test Script Development:Design, develop, and maintain robust and reusabletest automationscripts. Work with different application layers:UI, API, database, and possibly mobile or desktop apps. Implement and maintain utilities and test libraries. If required support developers with unit tests.

• Test Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with QA leads and developers to define what to automate, when, and how. Ensuretest automationis integrated in theCI/CD pipelineand supports continuous testing.

• Test Execution & Maintenance:Regularly run automated tests and analyze results. Identify andtroubleshoottest failures, escalating issues when needed. Maintain and update existing test cases and CI/CD pipelines as applications evolve.

• Troubleshooting &Debugging:Investigate test failures and identify root causes— whether it’s a test issue, application defect, or environment problem. Provide quick and effective fixes or workarounds.

• Collaboration & Mentorship:Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and product owners to ensure alignment on testing objectives. Mentor junior team members on automation best practices and tool usage.

• Code Quality & Version Control:Write clean, maintainable, and efficient automation code. Perform code reviews for junior engineers and provide constructive feedback. Ensure adherence to automationcodingstandards and version control practices.

• Test Data & Environment Handling:Set up or manage basic test data for automated runs. Run tests across different environments and report inconsistencies.

• Documentation:Document automated tests and provide clear test case descriptions. Keep test coverage and automation status updated in tracking tools likeJira,TestRail, or similar.

Who are you:

• Experience & Expertise:hands-on experience in at least one of the following programming languages: React,js, Next.js, .net, Java, Javascript, Phyton, Kotlin.

  • hands-on experience testing/developing APIm

  • Desired hands-on experience testing order fulfillment for e-commerce with main focus on SAP Commerce (ccv2) and SAP ECC SD/MM

  • Proven experience in buildingtest framework,application developmentand building applications, working withgit. Solid experience with API automation testing,microservicessolutions, setting up CI/CD pipelines inAzure DevOpsor similar. Great experience with Docker or similar.

• Agile methodology:Experience in working in anAgile environmentand comfortable in dynamic settings and requirements. You thrive as fast-paced and are an independent contributor with no support required to drive assigned tasks forward with precision and efficiency.

• Communication & Collaboration:Proficient in cross-functional communication with a demonstrated ability to facilitate team communication and knowledge sharing sessions.

• Technical Proficiency:Hands-on experience with latestdevelopment toolsand processes,DevOps practicesandCloud solutionslikeAzure,AWSor similar, Robot Framework, Selenium Grid and reporting tools likeGrafana, Report Portal or similar.

• Continuous Improvement:Proactively identify areas for automation improvement or technical debt reduction. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging practices.

• Educational Background:A Bachelors degree inComputer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
