Job summary

Gurucul in India seeks a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 4–8 years of hands-on experience to design and implement scalable test automation using Playwright and TypeScript. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to ensure our SaaS platform remains reliable, scalable, and secure.

You will build UI and API tests, integrate into CI/CD pipelines, mentor teammates, and explore AI-assisted testing to raise quality.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years of hands-on software development experience in full-stack roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and maintainable test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Develop automated test suites for UI, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
• Build data-driven, modular, and maintainable automation solutions following industry best practices.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Improve automation stability, execution speed, and maintainability through continuous framework enhancements.
