Job summary

Tekskills is seeking an SDET to develop and maintain scalable test automation using Playwright with TypeScript. You will automate UI, API, and backend tests with a focus on reliability and performance, and collaborate with developers to shift-left testing.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins), optimize test suites for speed, and mentor junior engineers while performing manual testing when automation is not feasible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in SDET/test automation with UI and API focus.
• Proficient in Playwright with TypeScript and REST API testing.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines with Git/Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of manual testing, test design, and defect reporting.

Role & responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright with TypeScript.

• Automate UI, API (REST), and backend tests with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
• Optimize test suites for speed and maintainability.

Manual Testing:

• Design and execute manual test cases for complex features where automation is not feasible.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues.
• Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing in manual mode when required.
• Document and report defects with clear steps, logs, and evidence (JIRA/Similar tools).

Collaboration & Process:

• Collaborate with developers to shift-left testing and improve testability.
• Participate in requirement reviews to identify test scenarios early.
• Mentor junior engineers on both manual and automation best practices.

Core Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in SDET/test automation (70%) + manual testing (30%).
