Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer II in India, Maharashtra, within the Chief Technology Office. You will design, develop, and deliver innovative software solutions, collaborating with an agile team to create secure and scalable technology products, across the full software development lifecycle.

You will work on production code, architecture artifacts, and data-driven improvements, leveraging AI-assisted tools while ensuring security and quality.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Strong Python development skills with a track record of delivering large‑scale projects.
• Experience with relational databases such as Sybase, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large‑scale enterprise applications and strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and their practical use.
• Hands‑on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability and experience in tech and/or financial industries.
• Hands‑on experience using enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted software development tools within the work environment with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI‑generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
• Solid understanding of Agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security and ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong collaboration skills to work with stakeholders across teams to clarify business/product questions.

• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
