Job Description

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology division, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role involves executing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, thinking beyond routine approaches to solve complex problems.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms synchronized with relevant systems.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met during development.
• Analyze large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reports that improve software applications and systems.
• Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Experience with data analytics platforms such as Databricks and ThoughtSpot.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Knowledge of data processing and data modeling within technical disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
• Experience with AI/ML is a plus.
• Exposure to cloud technologies.
