As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology division, you will be a seasoned member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your role involves executing critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas to support the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions, thinking beyond routine approaches to solve complex problems.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms synchronized with relevant systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met during development.
- Analyze large, diverse data sets to develop visualizations and reports that improve software applications and systems.
- Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to communities of practice and explore emerging technologies.
- Promote a team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in Python programming.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Experience with data analytics platforms such as Databricks and ThoughtSpot.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large corporate environments using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Knowledge of data processing and data modeling within technical disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
- Experience with AI/ML is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud technologies.
