As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market‑leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Develops or enhances products/applications in line with business requirements. Collaborate with internal technologists and users
• Operates as a member of a Scrum development team to deliver technology solutions in an Agile fashion including, but not limited to, sprint planning, complexity analysis, standups, and sprint retrospectives, backlog grooming etc.
• Designs, analyzes, codes, tests, and deploys applications/components to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects. Adhere to firm‑wide architecture standards, risk management and security policies.
• Provides production support coverage. Extensive hands‑on experience with Java, Python with a proven history of hands‑on development and delivery, ranging from small incremental changes to larger Greenfield projects.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Hands‑on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Hands‑on software development experience in Java/Python and related technology stack ( Spring, Spring Boot etc. )
• Experience with Web Tech: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with automated testing including E-2-E testing processes
• Experience working with other people in a team setting
• Experience using continuous integration tools, including Jenkins
• Experience managing assignments effectively, multi‑tasking, and working within tight deadlines
• Agile development experience and Experience working in a globally distributed team

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Cloud engineering experience would be an advantage (AWS).
• Experience in Cassandra, Containers, Dynamo
• SRE concepts like monitoring, log tracing
