The Software Developer is responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions within TNS’s SDLC delivery framework. The role focuses on delivering reliable, maintainable, and efficient code that meets TNS quality and performance standards, while contributing to project delivery, testing, and system documentation. The position works collaboratively as part of a professional technology team, supporting structured and timely delivery of technology solutions. It requires solid problem‑solving ability, attention to quality, clear communication of progress and issues, and a willingness to learn and apply engineering best practices.
The role contributes within established design and architectural direction, with less ownership and strategic influence than a Senior Software Developer. It typically requires experience in Java/J2EE, Spring/Hibernate, and SOAP/REST APIs, along with exposure to web technologies, testing practices, agile delivery, and modern development tools. Payment industry experience and familiarity with DevOps, cloud, and automation tooling are beneficial.
Overall objective: Working within the execute/delivery phase of TNS’ Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to develop software which meets or exceeds the company’s quality and performance standards, including the preparation and maintenance of system documentation. This includes:
Computer science degree or equivalent work experience within a professional software environment. Payment industry experience highly desired.
