Job summary

The Future University is seeking a Senior Golang Engineer to lead backend development for a high-performance trading platform. You will own key modules, shape platform design, and mentor engineers as real trades occur in real time.

You will drive architecture for microservices, data layer, and messaging, while ensuring low latency and reliability across REST, gRPC, WebSocket, and event-driven pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of backend engineering experience, with 3+ years focused on Go.
• Deep Go expertise: goroutines, channels, context, mutex, interfaces, error handling.
• Strong grasp of microservices architecture and service boundaries.
• Production experience with REST, gRPC, and WebSocket protocols.
• Strong database experience — PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB — including schema design, indexing, transactions.
• Experience with message brokers — Kafka, NATS, or RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to own modules independently and drive design decisions.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers.
• Nice to have: trading/fintech domain, low-latency Go, broker APIs, cloud AWS/GCP, observability tools, open-source contributions, regulatory knowledge.

About The Role
