Responsibilities
- Elevate our core platforms by maintaining and enhancing our ASP.NET/C# and SQL Server systems while ensuring reliability through thoughtful debugging, documentation, and automated testing.
- Build the future alongside us by designing and delivering cloud‑native C#/.NET microservices on Azure using RESTful APIs, event‑driven patterns, and modern domain‑driven design.
- Bridge legacy and modern worlds by ensuring smooth interoperability, smart data flow, and a stable transition to a microservices‑based architecture.
- Champion quality at every step through test‑driven development, automated test suites, code reviews, refactoring, and AI‑powered development accelerators.
- Collaborate like an owner by partnering with product and cross‑functional teams, understanding the “why” behind features, and delivering solutions that create real customer value.
- Continuously raise the bar by improving architecture and processes, staying current with cloud and microservices best practices, and mentoring teammates in modern engineering craft.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience at a software product company (building software products sold to businesses or consumers); services/consultancy backgrounds will only be considered if they involve product engineering in healthcare payments or similar domains.
- Strong TDD discipline, deep expertise in C#/.NET and database development, proven experience with microservices and event‑driven architectures, hands‑on Azure and modern DevOps practices.
- Ability to navigate and modernize legacy codebases.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate and translate technical work into business impact.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
