Job summary

DigiCert, a global leader in intelligent trust, is seeking a Software Engineer for the TrustCore team to design, develop, and maintain security protocol software in C for embedded platforms. You will work on core security capabilities across networking and cryptographic protocols, focusing on performance, reliability, and secure coding.

You will collaborate with design, development, testing, and customer support teams to deliver trusted software used in real-world connected systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field from an accredited university
• 3+ years of industry software development experience
• Strong C language and multi-threaded programming skills
• Good technical writing and communication skills
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Awareness of network security protocols (TCP/UDP/SSL/SSH/IPsec/Wireless)
• Experience with Enterprise OSes (Linux/Windows/macOS) and RTOS (Zephyr/FreeRTOS/QNX)
• Understanding of secure coding standards
• Willingness to learn/new technologies
• Team player with good problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security software (TrustCore SDK) for embedded platforms
• Participate in feature development from concept to design and implementation
• Analyze and troubleshoot defects found in testing

Job summary

As a Software Engineer on the TrustCore team, you will design, develop, and maintain security protocol software in C for embedded and resource-constrained platforms. This role focuses on building and enhancing core security capabilities across networking and cryptographic protocols, while helping ensure high standards for performance, reliability, and secure coding. You will work closely with engineers across design, development, testing, and customer issue resolution to deliver trusted security software used in real-world connected systems.

What you will do

• Development and Maintenance of security software (TrustCore SDK) for embedded platforms
• Participate in the development of new features from conceptualization to design and implementation
• Analysis and troubleshooting of defects found in testing
• Take part in design reviews, generate and update detailed design documents
• Researching customer issues, providing input and development to problems/issues
• Estimate task timelines, development activities and meet schedules
• Other duties as assigned

What you will have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related field of computer networking and security, from an accredited university or equivalent
• 3+ years of industry work experience in the software development
• Strong C language and multi-threaded programming skills
• Good technical writing and communication skills
• Excellent understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms
• Awareness of Network security protocol stack including TCP, UDP, SSL, SSH, IPsec and Wireless
