Job summary

Ascendion in Chennai is seeking a PLM Software Engineer to drive digital transformation by architecting, configuring, and maintaining the Siemens Teamcenter environment with a focus on Active Workspace.

You will design server/client customizations using ITK and AW, and build high-performance SOA/web service integrations with enterprise systems, while BMIDE data models and UI customization support optimal user experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in IT with 3+ years in Teamcenter development.
• Proficient in Java Full Stack and at least one coding language/framework.
• Experience with ITK, SOA, and BMIDE is required.

About The Role

Core Objective

The role centers on using ITK, SOA, and BMIDE to deliver scalable solutions that connect Teamcenter to external systems and streamline the product development lifecycle.

Job Title: Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Core Development & Integration

Design server/client customizations using ITK and Active Workspace, and build high-performance SOA/web service integrations with enterprise systems.

Configuration & UI Optimization

Manage BMIDE data models (objects, rules, LOVs) and customize Active Workspace UI elements (XRT stylesheets, tiles, declarative UI) for optimal user experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience & Skills

4+ years in IT with 3+ years in Teamcenter development, demonstrating practitioner-level proficiency in Java Full Stack and at least one coding language/framework.

Core Technical Expertise

Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter, Active Workspace (AW) customization, BMIDE configuration, and ITK/SOA integration APIs.
