Job summary

Riskonnect, Inc. is seeking a seasoned .NET software engineer with 5-6 years of experience to join our development team in India. You will work on modern .NET applications, including C# with .NET 8, UI work with WPF, and contribute to design, testing, and modernization efforts.

You should be comfortable with AI-assisted development tools and writing robust, testable code. You will collaborate with peers, document findings, and maintain high quality in a fast-paced environment.

Experience level 5-6 yrs

Core .NET Expertise

• Strong experience with C# and modern .NET (.NET 8)
• Preferred experience with WPF and any other .NET UI frameworks
• Deep understanding of:
  • Dependency Injection
  • Asynchronous programming (async/await)
  • Exception handling and resilience patterns
  • SOLID principles and clean architecture
• Experience working with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.)
• Testing & Quality Engineering
• Strong experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest)
• Ability to design meaningful tests beyond “happy path” scenarios
• Familiarity with mocking frameworks
• Codebase Comprehension
• Proven ability to quickly understand large, unfamiliar codebases
• Comfort working with AI-generated code and improving it where needed
• Ability to reason about intent vs. implementation
• Preferred experience modernizing or replacing legacy enterprise applications
