Job summary

Kobie is establishing a new India Tech Hub in Bengaluru to scale its global loyalty platform. We seek a Stack Developer with 3+ years of experience in Java/Spring Boot and Angular to join a fast-moving team delivering cloud microservices.

You will work across the full software development life cycle, participate in Agile processes, and contribute to design, coding, and documentation. This role offers growth, collaboration with US teams, and a mission to shape our global capabilities center.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Java/Spring development in the full software development life cycle
• 3+ years of front-end web application development (Angular)
• 1+ years of developing RESTful services using JSON
• Experience building microservice cloud applications (AWS, Azure, or Oracle)
• 1+ years of SQL with multi-table queries (Oracle / PostgreSQL)
• Experience tuning SQL statements with explain plans
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
• Experience developing Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking apps
• Experience with messaging queues (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka)
• Building Docker containers and configuring Kubernetes clusters
• Build management: Bitbucket/Git, Gradle, Bamboo

Responsibilities

• Participate in all Agile phases (planning, grooming, sprint items)
• Work on loyalty platform integration points (live APIs, batch, queue-based processing)
• Participate in design sessions with product owners
• Document configuration and business logic rules
• Mentor and coach team members

About the team and what we will build together

You are aStack Developerwith 3+ years’ experience in thefull software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, peer review, and operations.

You are a critical thinker with experience creating microservice cloud applications with a team of dedicated professionals building our market-leading Loyalty platform.

How you will make an impact

• Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items)
• Gain knowledge and control of our loyalty platform integration points (live API's, Batch, Queue based processing).
• Participate in design sessions; work with product owners and team members to solve acceptance criteria
• Build and maintain all configuration and business logic rule documentation
• Assist other team members through coaching and mentoring
• Promote and demonstrate good coding practice and patterns for the team
• Set accurate time estimates and scope of work for tasks and/or projects assigned to you
• Fill information gaps as needed to accomplish gaps
• Develop simple solutions to complex problems
• Suggest innovative new ways to improve processes and/or components of work
• Effectively work with other groups and third parties

What you need to be successful

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing applications and components usingJavaand Spring (Prefer JDK 11+ with Spring Boot)
• 3+ years of experience in front-end web application development
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing applications usingAngular(Prefer version 10+)
• 1+ years of experience developing RESTful services using JSON
• Experience developing microservice cloud applications (Oracle, AWS, or Azure)
• 1+ years of experience developingSQLmulti-table queries, inserts, and updates (Prefer Oracle / PostgreSQL)
• Experience tuning SQL statements with execution explain plans
• Familiarity with Agile (e.g., Scrum Process)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Experience developing Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking applications
• Message Queues (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka Streams)
• Building Docker containers and configuring Kubernetes clusters (kubectl, Docker for Desktop)
• Build Management tools (Bitbucket/Git, Gradle, Bamboo)
