Job summary

Kobie Marketing is establishing its India Tech Hub in Bengaluru and seeking a Stack Developer with strong Java/Spring, Angular, and microservices experience. You will work across API integration, cloud deployments, and database design on a market-leading loyalty platform.

The role emphasizes collaboration, code quality, and mentoring colleagues within a global context, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge loyalty solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and developing applications using Java and Spring (JDK 11+ with Spring Boot).
• 3+ years front-end web application development.
• 1+ years Angular (prefer version 10+).
• 1+ years RESTful services using JSON.
• Experience building microservice cloud applications (Oracle, AWS, or Azure).
• 1+ years SQL multi-table queries (Oracle / PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Experience developing Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items).
• Work on loyalty platform integration points (live APIs, Batch, Queue based processing).
• Contribute to design sessions with product owners and team members.
• Document configuration and business logic rules.
• Mentor and coach teammates on best practices.

About the team and what we will build together

You are a Stack Developer with 3+ years’ experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, peer review, and operations.

You are a critical thinker with experience creating microservice cloud applications with a team of dedicated professionals building our market-leading Loyalty platform.

How you will make an impact

• Participate in all phases of Agile methodology (planning, grooming, coding sprint items)
• Gain knowledge and control of our loyalty platform integration points (live API's, Batch, Queue based processing).
• Participate in design sessions; work with product owners and team members to solve acceptance criteria
• Build and maintain all configuration and business logic rule documentation
• Assist other team members through coaching and mentoring
• Promote and demonstrate good coding practice and patterns for the team
• Set accurate time estimates and scope of work for tasks and/or projects assigned to you
• Fill information gaps as needed to accomplish gaps
• Develop simple solutions to complex problems
• Suggest innovative new ways to improve processes and/or components of work
• Effectively work with other groups and third parties

What you need to be successful

• 3+ years of experience designing and developing applications and components usingJavaand Spring (Prefer JDK 11+ with Spring Boot)
• 3+ years of experience in front-end web application development
• 1+ years of experience designing and developing applications usingAngular(Prefer version 10+)
• 1+ years of experience developing RESTful services using JSON
• Experience developing microservice cloud applications (Oracle, AWS, or Azure)
• 1+ years of experience developingSQLmulti-table queries, inserts, and updates (Prefer Oracle / PostgreSQL)
• Experience tuning SQL statements with execution explain plans
• Familiarity with Agile (e.g., Scrum Process)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Experience developing Loyalty, Accounting, or Banking applications
• Message Queues (RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, Kafka Streams)
• Building Docker containers and configuring Kubernetes clusters (kubectl, Docker for Desktop)
• Build Management tools (Bitbucket/Git, Gradle, Bamboo)
