Position Summary

Senior Software Engineer – Azure Cosmos DB and MongoDB (BPT – BioPharma Product Testing). As a technology leader, you will design, manage, and optimize document‑based, distributed databases in large‑scale, cloud‑native systems, ensuring product features are fully automated and reducing the time from idea to live release. This database‑focused role is ideal for someone who excels at designing, managing, and optimizing cloud‑native systems and collaborates with a global team of professionals.

Required Experience and Qualification

• 1 to 4 years of experience developing end‑to‑end web applications using the Microsoft stack.
• Good working knowledge of .NET Core (6/7/8), C#, Asp.Net Core, MVC, WebAPI, Postman.
• Experience with Angular 7+ (JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3).
• Decent knowledge of Cosmos DB, Elastic Search, Redis, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Event‑Driven Architecture, Domain‑Driven Architecture, Microservices, MSSQL – SQL etc.
• Experience with Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with UI testing and Unit Testing (MS Test, Jasmine, MOQ, NUnit, Karma).
• Strong understanding of OOP and ability to solve technical problems.
• Experience with code review: raising, resolving, and closing reviews.
• Awareness of programming best practices.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex issues, performance optimisation, and writing efficient code and queries.
• Knowledge of authentication/authorization (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, etc.).
• Experience on at least one SOA project.
• Experience with Agile practices (preferably Scrum).

Responsibilities

• Implement customer feedback (changes/enhancements) and design solutions to meet expectations.
• Advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for Level 1 and Level 2 escalations.
• Analyse logs and application behaviour to identify root causes.
• Handle incidents involving crashes, data inconsistencies, or integration failures.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement long‑term improvements.
• Monitor application performance using tools such as Application Insights, Grafana, Kibana.
• Perform performance tuning and scalability optimisation.
• Support production deployments, hot‑fixes, rollback procedures and validate post‑deployment stability.
• Ensure compliance with GxP and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Maintain audit trails and documentation for all changes and incidents.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to resolve issues.
• Communicate technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Document solutions, workarounds, and known issues in a knowledge base.
• Provide guidance and training to L1/L2 teams.
