Job summary

Synamedia is seeking a passionate Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud development group in Bengaluru to build and maintain the Synamedia GO product and Infinite solutions. You will design, develop, deploy scalable microservices and contribute to video streaming domain platforms in an Agile DevOps setup.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in cloud development, strong coding in NodeJS/Java/GoLang, and hands-on AWS services like Lambda, EC2, ECS, with experience in containerization and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduate in Computer Science or equivalent with 2+ years industry experience.
• Proven Cloud Developer or similar role with microservices experience.
• Experience with containerized deployments and RESTful APIs using Docker and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Perform technology evaluations, PoCs, write and review code.
• Build and manage microservices for the platform.
• Develop high quality software with CI/CD, automated tests and frequent releases.
• Collaborate in a multi-site environment.
• Analyze requirements and map to existing solutions, proposing improvements.
• Create tools/scripts to drive automation and efficiency.

About the Job – Software Engineer (Cloud Development)

We are looking for a passionate Cloud engineer and enthusiastic problem solvers to be a key part of the Cloud development group in Bangalore who can help us in building and maintaining Synamedia GO product and Infinite suite of solutions.

Synamedia Go is an OTT video platform that enables Pay TV Operators, Telcos, Broadcasters, OTT Services, and content rights owners to launch and manage compelling video experiences to any device, anywhere, at any time. The product uses cutting edge technology and is in the forefront of Synamedia’s growth engines.

We look towards you as an experienced Cloud engineer with good understanding of scalable and distributed microservices development and deployment in Agile DevOps environment. Your role would be to design, develop, deploy solutions applying your excellent programming and skills for the next generation of products and solutions in the domain of Video streaming.

Key Responsibilities

• Your day to day job includes technology evaluations, proof of concepts development, writing code, code reviews, continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing.
• You will be part of development team responsible for building and managing microservices for the platform.
• You will develop high quality software where continuous deployment, automated tests and rapid releases are the norm.
• You will work in highly collaborative environment in a multi-site setting
• Analyse Product and Customer requirements, mapping to existing solutions and suggesting new ideas.
• Suggest improvements into the product based on Quality and Stability, develop tools, scripts, or processes to drive efficiency and automation.

Technical Expertise

• Engineering graduate, B.E Computer Science or equivalent, with 2+ years industry experience
• Demonstrable experience as a Cloud Developer or similar role
• Worked on loosely coupled design, Microservices development, Message queues and containerized applications deployment using technologies like RESTful APIs and services and Docker
• Excellent programming knowledge and experience in NodeJS, Java, GoLang
• At least 2 years experience with Cloud Technologies – AWS, EKS, Open stack (or similar), and building production grade solutions using AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, ECS, ELB, Route53, Cloud watch, VPC, IAM, Cognito
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipeline with detailed understanding of Git, Jenkins, AWS pipeline, Artifactory, and Terraform is desirable
• Exposure to Continuous monitoring and Observability tools – Lightstep, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana (ELK), Prometheus, Grafana
• Experience in using a key database technology such as RDS, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra or Couchbase
• Experience working with high volume, high throughput, cloud based systems is a plus.
