Job summary

Weekday AI in Bengaluru is seeking a Software Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to join our engineering team. You will design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using NodeJS and PostgreSQL.

You will collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver reliable software. Strong in backend architecture and RESTful APIs; a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications and services using NodeJS.

• Write clean, reusable, well-structured, and maintainable code following established engineering practices.
• Integrate backend services with internal systems, third-party APIs, and other application components.
• Analyze application performance and troubleshoot production issues, bugs, and system bottlenecks.
• Implement appropriate error handling, logging, monitoring, and validation across backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality, development standards, and engineering processes.
• Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability and stability.
