Job description

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India (Hybrid)

Work Mode: Hybrid | Cross-functional | Agile Product Team

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a Balanced Product Team, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to deliver impactful, cloud-native analytic solutions. This role spans the full software development lifecycle—from architecture and design to development, testing, deployment, and support.

You’ll be instrumental in creating full-stack applications that solve complex problems, support data-driven decisions, and improve the user experience. If you’re passionate about building scalable software, using modern cloud platforms like GCP, and working in a high-collaboration, Agile environment—this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

• Design & Develop: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement robust software applications—both UI and backend—using modern frameworks.

• Cloud Engineering: Develop and deploy applications on GCP (Google Cloud Platform). Leverage tools like Terraform, BigQuery, and Cloud Build to optimize and automate infrastructure.

• Agile & DevOps Practices: Work in Agile sprints, participate in daily stand-ups, lead design discussions, and ensure continuous integration and delivery using tools like Tekton, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Operations & Support: Support user access, password maintenance, performance monitoring, and build deployment pipelines. Participate in incident response and root cause analysis (RCA).

• Documentation & Metrics: Author design documents, user stories, and test cases. Track and report relevant product and performance metrics.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP, but Azure is acceptable).
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript (JS), TypeScript (TS), or Python.
• Experience with Angular or React (Frontend); Spring or Node.js (Backend).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices: Tekton, Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, etc.

Experience in:

• Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Paired or mob programming
• Agile methodologies (MVP, iterative delivery)
• Passion for using tech to amaze and delight users.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong cross-functional collaboration with product managers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders.
• Delivered web-based front-end apps using JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks like Angular.
• Experience in microservices architecture and understanding of data modeling concepts.
• Exposure to machine learning, data analysis, or mathematical modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile tools like Rally (CA Agile Central) or JIRA.
