Job summary

Tensure is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Chennai to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines for client engagements across industries. You will work with modern stacks and cloud-native patterns, contributing to robust software delivered on time.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience, strong OO skills, experience with Git/CI/CD, and a track record building production-grade applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills.
• Experience building scalable production applications.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and modern development practices.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and work with new technologies.

We are growing our India engineering team to support exciting upcoming client engagements across a variety of industries. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll work with modern technologies to build scalable applications, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud‑native solutions for our consulting clients.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and working across different projects. While each engagement may use a different technology stack, we're looking for engineers with strong software engineering fundamentals who can quickly adapt and contribute.

What You'll Do
