Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop web-based applications using C# and React technologies in Bengaluru. You will contribute to RESTful APIs, microservices, and front-end work with ReactJS, while ensuring secure, scalable solutions in AWS and Docker environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET and EF.

• Ensure reliability, security, and performance in AWS with Docker.

• Follow secure development practices: SAST/DAST; fix findings.

We’re seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to the design and development of web based applications using C# react technologies.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Contribute , design, and development of RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET, ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC), and Entity Framework

• Understanding of engineering best practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, code reviews, technical standards, and documentation

• Build front-end experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript with ReactJS

• Own end-to-end delivery: requirements, design, implementation, automated testing (unit, integration, UI), performance, and deployment

• Design for reliability, scalability, and security in AWS; containerize and ship services with Docker

• Work across data stores (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning

• Implement and improve observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) and drive operational excellence

• Integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to enhance product features and developer productivity

• Ensure secure development practices including SAST/DAST and remediation of findings

• Mentor and coach engineers; lead technical initiatives and collaborate with product, UX, and stakeholders

Must-have qualifications

• Deep knowledge in C# .NET

• Strong RESTful API and microservices design and development

• Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks of ReactJS

• Solid grasp of SOLID principles, design patterns, and microservices architecture

• Strong SQL skills across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle

• Automation experience: unit, integration, and UI test frameworks

• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure

• Proven ability to lead initiatives and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions

Nice to have

• Monitoring and logging tools: Splunk, Prometheus, ELK Stack

• DevOps/CI/CD tools: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Groovy

• Load/performance testing (e.g., JMeter)

• Security best practices in SAST and DAST

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Experience working independently in fast-paced, cross-functional environments

• Practical AI skill set (e.g., integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications)

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience with 2 to 5 Years.

Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:

• Master's Degree/ PHD in Computer Science

• Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming

• Experience working on software projects in the Energy domain (Energy Management, Oil & Gas, Power & Water)

• Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
