Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Software Engineer in Bengaluru to design and build web-based applications using C#/.NET, ReactJS, and modern RESTful APIs. The role emphasizes end-to-end delivery, security, scalability, and AWS-based deployment.

You will collaborate across product and UX teams, own features from design to deployment, and mentor peers while applying SOLID principles and best practices. Relocation support may be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Contribute , design, and development of RESTful APIs and microservices using .NET, ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC), and Entity Framework
• Understanding of engineering best practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, code reviews, technical standards, and documentation
• Build front-end experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript with ReactJS
• Own end-to-end delivery: requirements, design, implementation, automated testing (unit, integration, UI), performance, and deployment
• Design for reliability, scalability, and security in AWS; containerize and ship services with Docker
• Work across data stores (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Implement and improve observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) and drive operational excellence
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to enhance product features and developer productivity
• Ensure secure development practices including SAST/DAST and remediation of findings
• Mentor and coach engineers; lead technical initiatives and collaborate with product, UX, and stakeholders

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience with 2 to 5 Years.

Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:

• Master's Degree/ PHD in Computer Science
• Experience with Windows and Unix / Linux based programming
• Experience working on software projects in the Energy domain (Energy Management, Oil & Gas, Power & Water)
• Certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner
