Job summary

Aptiv is hiring for a SWDL/OTA Software Developer to design, implement and verify embedded software for ECU reprogramming, secure OTA updates, and bootloader functions. You will plan requirements, implement and test across platforms, ensuring robustness under fault conditions.

Key experience includes embedded C/C++, UDS/DoIP, CAN/CAN FD, RTOS/Linux or AUTOSAR, and familiarity with secure coding and CI/CD practices. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Embedded C/C++ expertise with microcontrollers and hardware debugging.
• Experience with UDS, DoIP, CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, bootloader and diagnostics.
• AUTOSAR or RTOS/Linux development experience; Git, CI/CD and unit testing.
• Basic cryptography and secure-coding knowledge.
• Familiarity with S32K/S32G/V850 or similar platforms; Python automation.
• Exposure to ISO 24089.

Responsibilities

• Develops and verifies embedded software for ECU reprogramming, bootloaders and secure OTA update clients.
• Estimates features with RFQ/Concept and identifies platform constraints.
• Refines requirements, designs and test cases in Planning/Architecture.
• Implements, reviews, integrates and debugs update software.
• Executes robustness, power-interruption, rollback and recovery tests.
• Analyzes campaign/service issues and delivers fixes in Production/Operations.
• Implements download, authentication, integrity checks, flash programming and recovery functions.
• Develops UDS/DoIP services, bootloader configuration and memory drivers.
• Performs unit, bench and integration tests under nominal and fault conditions.
• Debugs timing, memory, power-loss and compatibility issues.
• Maintains code quality, traceability and release documentation.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
