Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) in Hyderabad. The role focuses on building and maintaining automated test suites using Selenium and Playwright, with strong emphasis on database testing and end-to-end quality assurance.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, design robust test cases, and mentor junior members while driving improvements in testing processes and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of software testing experience.
• Strong automation testing experience with Selenium and Playwright.
• Experience with database testing (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).

What You'll Do:

• Hands-on experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong technical expertise in automation framework development and quality engineering.
