Amazon is seeking a Software Development Manager III for WW Services Tech in Hyderabad. You will lead a team to build a next-generation fulfillment platform, driving the vision for digital services that connect service professionals with customers while upholding trust and safety.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams, shape the product roadmap, and apply data-driven decisions to improve the console experience, while promoting coding standards, testing, and livesite reliability.

About the Opportunity:

Value Added Services (VAS) team (Also popularly known as Amazon Home Services (AHS)) in Hyderabad, India is building a WW Services platform which enables Amazon to seamlessly integrate professional services (including home improvement, installation, maintenance, and lifestyle services) with product purchases. We're building a first-of-its-kind ecosystem that connects qualified service professionals with customers while maintaining the highest standards of trust, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience
• 7+ years of engineering experience
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
• Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
• Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
