Software Development Engineer II, Amazon Credit & Lending

Join Amazon's startup environment to design and build a new Fintech Payments product from scratch. Enable hundreds of millions of Amazon customers to shop using innovative credit products. Work on delivering high-traffic, low-latency solutions that handle sensitive customer data and cross-region calls.

The Amazon India Emerging Payments team seeks passionate software developers to create a scalable, reliable payments platform that will serve millions of Amazon India customers. The role involves leveraging the latest AWS technologies such as AWS Dacia, Kinesis, Lambda, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB encryption, API Gateway, VPC, NLB, CloudTrail, and Elasticsearch. Opportunities also include learning about machine learning and collaborating with third-party partners like banks and NBFCs.

The platform is designed to support emerging economies with similar needs, offering developers the chance to build a strong patent portfolio for Amazon. Candidates should have a solid understanding of computer fundamentals and experience in building large-scale distributed systems, especially web-based applications at massive scale.

Basic Qualifications

1. 3+ years of professional software development experience
2. 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, focusing on reliability and scaling
3. Proficiency in at least one programming language

Preferred Qualifications

1. 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, and operations
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
