Job summary

Amazon is seeking an SDE-2 in Bengaluru to design and deliver scalable software for routing and planning in the Last Mile Technology group. You will own architecture, collaborate across teams, and ship end-to-end components used globally every day.

You will work with engineers, researchers, and product managers to solve hard problems, maintain high quality, and grow into a role with high impact on customers and operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Our goal is to create the most efficient, reliable, and high-quality route plans for our drivers while ensuring safe, low-touch, and high-throughput solutions for operations. We’re challenged to constantly improve and innovate on our routing and planning software to support Amazon's promise of fast and reliable deliveries. The technology that are developed by our teams include a wide breadth of solutions from Machine Learning (ML) and Operations Research-based routing and planning algorithms, in-house maps and navigation platform, IoT and hardware innovations, doorstep delivery experience, and the consumer grade native mobile apps that brings all these experiences together.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
