Job summary

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact features across backend, Android, and iOS for the core Delivery workflow.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance, design reviews, and execution support.
• Act as a technical lead for key initiatives, driving architecture, planning, and end-to-end delivery.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and UX Designers to define requirements and build intuitive customer and transporter experiences.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including AI agentic workflows and spec-driven development.

Our team is seeking a talented SDE to help build the core delivery services supporting the driver delivery app. The successful candidate is expected to have deep technical experience with backend development and be able to deliver projects end to end from design to launch. As an experienced member of the team, you will be expected to not only own the end to end success of your projects, but also to mentor others and raise the bar for the team as a whole. About Last Mile

Amazon’s Last Mile delivery efforts help get customer packages from delivery stations to a customer’s doorstep. Amazon has grown its last mile delivery efforts helping to speed up customer delivery times and provide new innovations to customers. Working on the front lines of our Last Mile tech team means that daily, you have a tangible impact on an Amazon customer’s experience getting his or her package. A day in the life

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3+ years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development, Release, or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
